Circa 1970s

An excellent example of the solid oak Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson craft /hobby workbox. Features an adzed hinged top with pinned cleated ends which lifts to reveal an open storage area. Panelled sides, front and rear. Below is a compartmentalised drawer with wooden knob handle. It stands on four octagonally carved legs one of which features a trademark signature mouse.

Wonderful medium fumed aged colour and patina, just some very light usage marks visible on the lid on very close inspection.
