A superb, as new example of Simon’s work from his workshops in Austwick and new showroom near Settle, where he successfully combines the design traditions and ethos  of the Arts and Crafts movement with  modern contemorary styling. This Arts & Crafts  inspired pyramid CD Cabinet is made using the finest English oak throughout and features carefully selected carved  burr oak  inlaid panels in the doors. His trademark ‘Dalesbred’ sheeps head is marquetry inlaid into the side panel and a  stamped metal nameplate numbered 101 is placed on the lower inside door. There is capacity for up to 300 CDs. Superb golden colour with no staining or damage.

Made in 2000 it is one of a pair of these cabinets originally made for a North Yorkshire vet. I have retained the other piece, numbered 102, for my own personal use. Available new today from the Dalesbred workshops this cabinet costs £ 1,100.
