A superb solid oak serving tray from the workshops of renowned Arts and Crafts maker Arthur W Simpson of Kendal, wonderful rich colour and presented in excellent waxed condition. Lovely typical early 20th century fluid curved design with beautifully
executed foliate carving to the tray handles and exposed wedged tennon joints, all tight and sound. Labelled to the underside Arthur W Simpson, The Handicrafts, Kendal and stamped with the number 7749.
