Circa 1930s / 40s
Beautifully patinated rare early Mouseman Robert Thompson breadboard, of smaller overall proportions than the more modern post war 12″ x 10″ design, the shaped canted edges more heavily adzed and steeply angled, the underside base also
adzed. A superbly carved earlier mouse sits prominently on the top edge facet. Quarter sawn oak which gives the board its distinctive meduallary ray graining patterns. Well used and loved over the years but only ever oiled which
gives the board it’s distictive colour and patination.
