A superb bespoke made 10″ diameter octagonal wall clock made by ex mouseman craftsman Malcolm ‘Foxman’ Pipes. Features a solid oak surround, adzed to the front face and sides with alternating arts and crafts thumbnail carving. Brass port hole style
surround into which is mounted a 5 ½” dial and German Lienzle quartz movement, in working order. Malcolm’s trademark foxes mask is carved to the side and a metal wall fixing bracket to the rear.
Malcolm trained and worked at Robert Thompson’s in the 1960s through to 1983 when he established Fox Furniture in Cartlon Husthwaite. He was involved with making all the Mouseman clocks and has continued to have an excellent reputation for bespoke clock
making.
This is just one piece from a large collection of Foxman pieces acquired privately directly from the estate of a lady who corresponded regularly with Malcolm and his mother up to the time of her recent death. All the pieces from this estate have been
lovingly cherished from new and are in immaculate condition.
