Circa 1960s

A beautifully grained and richly coloured example of the highly sought after  double pin dish. Pristine condition with subtle tooling to the upper surface and bowls and precisely executed chip carving to the edges. Known to have been in the ownership
of mouseman craftsman Paul Golding’s family.

Paul trained at Thompson’s before the war, returning there after war service with the RAF. He was  senior carver from 1947 up to his retirement in 1987. He died in 2004.

Caution is always advised when buying these particular items from auction sites and less reputable or well informed sellers,  due to the items desirability and value there are a number of fakes that come to market quite frequently.
