Circa 1950s/60s

A wonderful example of a Thomas ‘Gnomeman’ Whittaker bench stool with an unusual wavy edge to the seat. Of typical adzed all over rustic form the beautifully grained seat stands on four splayed  legs,  wedge jointed through the top of the seat. His signature gnome is carved to one of the legs.

It also makes an ideal occasional coffee table.

Acquired locally from a private collector.
