A superb and richly coloured 10″ table lamp from the workshop of Robert Mouseman Thompson of typical form, the octagonally carved stem leading down to carved leaf forms and a square base. A lovely detailed mouse is carved in high relief to the stem. The original bakelite bulb fitting and old wiring has been replaced with a brand new antiqued brass fitting, 3 metres of new 3 core braided period style wiring and new plug. Protective baize lining to the underside. The shade is good and available free if a purchaser would like it.
From the same original ownership and of the same age as the burr oak table lighter ( DS1449) and calf stool (DS1450).
