Circa 1970s

An excellent privately acquired example of a Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Oak Serving Table of rectangular form with rear upstand  and adzed top with canted corners,  over two drawers one baize lined with cutlery compartments, with a shelf below. Panelled sides and rear. Standing on four octagonally carved and tooled legs with a well carved mouse in high relief to one leg. Cleaned and rewaxed in our workshop it presents in superb condition with a natural medium fumed warm colour and patina. Currently costs £ 3,170 to purchase new from Robert Thompson’s.
