Circa 1940s / 50s

A wonderful example of an earlier made 12″ Robert Mouseman Thompson Oak Bread Board, darker fumed from new  with a particularly large and distinctive mouse carving to the edge of one facet. It’s early age is indicated by the adzing to both top and rear, the overall thicker and heavier  block of oak used and the larger upper surface board area.The image gallery below shows the piece photographed next to a 70s piece we also have in stock. Minor usage as intended with a wonderful depth of warm brown colour tones.
