Circa 1950s/early 60s

A superb earlier made example of the popular Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Octagonal Coffee Table with a beautifully grained single plank  adzed top supported by an adzed cruciform pedestal leg  and four crossed feet. Later, more modern examples are only adzed to the table top.  Carefully cleaned and wax polished to remove  minor ring stains in the top it was medium fumed from new  and now presents with a wonderfully rich natural aged colour with a wonderful mouse carved in high relief to one leg.
