Circa late 1930s/40s
A superb example of an early Robert Thompson ‘Mouseman’ Oak Stool with a lattice woven leather strapped seat. Of traditional recangular form, standing on four octagonally carved legs joined by stretchers, all subtly adzed and darker fumed from new. The original leather strapping is intact and in wonderful condition. A trademark mouse is carved to the outer facet of one leg.
Excellent condition and colour.
