Circa 1930s/40s

A beautifully coloured and patinated example of the early Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson solid English oak Standard Lamp, subtly different from more modern examples in a number of ways, the most noticeable difference being the positioning of the mouse carving on the upper section of the carved and tooled base. Excellent condition, rewired with new period braided 3 core earthed wiring and a new antiqued brass bayonet bulb fitting.
