A superb  refurbished solid oak 5′ refectory style Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Dining Table, comprising  a  4 plank adzed top supported on two octagonally carved baluster legs with sledge feet, joined by an adzed floor set stretcher. A signature mouse is carved in high relief on one of the legs. The partially worn original polyurathane finished top has been fully chemically stripped and re-applied with  multiple spay coats of the original clear satin polyurathane finish used, to give a stain and heat resistant finish. Finally finished with clear wax to the top, legs and feet. Presents in superb  condition with wonderful medullary ray graining visible in the oak.

Privately acquired from the original owners family in North Yorkshire, together with  a matched set of 6 of Robert’s favorite adzed Panel Back Dining Chairs with their original butterscotch leather hide upholstery.  The chairs are being offered separately but we will be pleased to discuss purchase of the table and chairs as a set.
