Circa 1980

An excellent 5′ solid oak Sideboard by the Acorn Industries (Acornman)  trained craftsman Derek ‘Lizardman’ Slater of Crayke, near Easingwold. Features an adzed two plank top with rear upstand, panelled front, sides and rear, a central bank of graduated drawers, one of which is lined and compartmentalised for cutlery with two shelved cupboards to either side. Standing on octagonally carved legs with his later trademark lizard carved prominently to the lower front right. Complimentd by traditional wrought iron fittings.

Wonderful medium fumed colour, very clean condition inside and out. The top finished in a stain and heat resistant polyurethane finish with wax over, the framework and panels waxed.
