Circa 1960s

An excellent example of the hugly popular solid oak Blanket / Storage Box from the ex Mouseman craftsman Sid Pollard of Bagby, near Thirsk. Of  larger than usually seen rectangular form, panelled and adzed all over .

In recet years the market has come to regard these particular pieces as highly as, if not more so,  than the Mouseman equivalent item, due to the extensive inlaid panelling and adzing all over the piece which is not found on most of the Mouseman pieces.

Excellent condition and rich waxed colour.
