Stock ref: DS2607
Circa 1940s
An excellent early made example of the popular Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Oak Standard Lamp, the tapered adzed octagonally carved central column leading down to a stepped, swept and facetted octagonal base with a mouse signature in high relief.
This early design is subtly differennt to later made examples, the base is flat, the mouse carved to the upper facet, the stem is thicker and taller with a different profile to the top collar.
Superb waxed colour and patina, new earthed brass bayonet bulb fitting and rewired with new period braided 3 core wire.
Size: 31.5(dia) x 142(h)cm
