Circa mid/late 1920s
An excellent very early 4′(w) x 6′(h) solid oak double wardrobe by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson of Kilburn. Constructed in the earliest wardrobe design with adzed panels, beading around the panels, half penny moulded top and very early design of wrought iron door fittings. Carved mouse signature to the upper front edge. The twin doors open to reveal long hanging space of the left with a brass slide out rail and several coat hooks. On the right side is a variety of shelving spaces, a pull out drawer and trouser rail. The door also offers storage and hanging options.
Excellent condition and rich aged and waxed colour.
