Circa 1960‘s / early 70‘s.

A rare and unusual hand crafted high stool, lightly adzed seat and exposed leg joints with signature ‘Eagle’ incised centrally. Below are 3 octagonally carved legs joined with twisted wrought iron straps, the front acting as a foot rest.

Excellent colour and graining commensurate with age, waxed, solid joints and no damage.

Albert Jeffray is a former Mouseman trained craftsman who left in the 60’s to start his own business in Sessay, Nr Thirsk. Now retired, he still lives there. Size: 52(w) x 43(d) x 75(h) cm. The seat is 36cm at its widest and 3.5cm thick.
