Circa 1900

A stylish and functional 6 piece dining set which includes 2 armchairs. Solid oak frames with re-upholstered fabric seat pads and backs, edged with copper studding, on turned and tapering forelegs. The back splats feature stylized floral Art Nouveau pewter and black satinwood inlays depicting poppies and honesty entwined in a heart. Unmarked but Liberty attributed by respected auctioneers Lacy Scott & Knight.

The chairs are in very good condition, structurally sound and stable and ready for immediate use. Most of the underside corner blocks have been replaced, and possibly a rear seat rail on an armchair. All have been cleaned, repaired and re-covered in mauve, green and taupe fabric in the recent past.
