Circa 1960’s

Very rare to the vintage/antique market. Lovely hand carved octagonal base with a wonderfully plump and detailed mouse running around the base. The carved octagonal upright leads to a octagonal top. Stunning deep honey patina which accentuates the graining
of the oak. There is some minor ring marking to the top but this is entirely in line with its intended use as a plant stand.

The early history of the piece is unknown but I am advised it was bought as a vintage piece in 1987 and presented as a retirement gift to the last owners father.There is evidence of a small plaque having been in place previously on the base but the pin
holes have been filled, are very well blended and unnoticeable from a few inches away.
