An excellent bespoke commissioned 2’11” ((w) x 6’3″(h) oak bookcase by the “Mouseman’ trained craftsman Albert ‘Eagleman’ Jeffray of Sessay near Thirsk. Features six fixed oak shelves with graduated shelf gaps ranging from 10″ at the top increasing in half inch increments to 12 ½” at the lowest shelf. The rear panel is oak veneered ply. Stands on a small attached plinth base. Albert’s signature eagle is incised to the lower right side panel.
Privately sourced from a house clearance in the Manchester area.
Excellent condition with only minor knocks and indents on the sides, the piece sympathetically cleaned and clear wax finished in our workshop. Lighter fumed from new it presents with a warm honey oak colour.
