Circa early/mid 1980s

A superb Dining Set from Alan ‘Acornman’ Grainger who traded as Acorn Industries in Brandsby, up until the final family member retired in 2005.

Comprises a 6′ x 3′ 4 plank adzed dining table standing on  shaped adzed trestle legs joined with a traditional pegged stretcher which bears his trademark acorn carving.  Complete with 2 carver chairs and 4 dining chairs, each with traditional  shaped ladder backs, adzed all over and each marked with his acorn signature to the lower stretcher. The drop-in seats retain their original pale green leather which is in excellent condition.

The whole set presents in superb waxed condition, testament to loving and careful original local ownership, from whose family we have acquired it together with a number of other pieces that will be prepared and photographed  for sale over the next week or two.
