Stock ref: DS1738
Circa early / mid 1980s
A superb and unusual bespoke made large oak Corner Shelf from Alan ‘Acornman’ Grainger who’s business traded as Acorn Industries in Brandsby, up until the final family member retired in 2005. Originally commissioned to support a TV in a lounge corner, but with many other uses, it’s of substantial size and adzed to the upper surface, constructed from 1″ thick oak, supported on the underside by twin wooden brackets which screw to the wall. The original screw fittings are supplied with the piece. Cut-out to the rear apex to allow for wiring and trademark acorn carved to the front corner.
The shelf presents in superb waxed condition with a medium oak colour, testament to loving and careful original local ownership, from whose family we have acquired it together with a number of other pieces.
Size: 144.7(w – max) x 91.5(d -front to rear corner apex) x 9(h – including under support bracket) cm.
