Circa early/mid 1980s

A superb  and unusual bespoke made  oak Entertainment Cabinet from Alan ‘Acornman’ Grainger who’s business traded as Acorn Industries in Brandsby, up until the final family member retired in 2005. Originally commissioned to accommodate a mini /midi  HIFI separates system, small speakers to the side extensions and CD storage in the partitioned drawer below.   Beautifully made with solid oak, panelled and adzed all over with wiring cut-outs to the rear and trademark acorn signature to the front foot.

The cabinet presents in superb waxed condition with a medium oak colour, testament to loving and careful original local ownership, from whose family we have acquired it together with a number of other pieces.

Size: 80(w-max) x 41.5(d) x 74(h)cm. Centre opening: 38(w) x 37(d) x 33(h)cm. Side extensions: 15(w) x 21.5(d) internal cm.

Excellent value compared to the cost to commission a similar piece today.
