A solid oak Arts and Crtafts planter or waste paper bin of square tapered design with a castellated top from  the workshop of the renowned Cumbrian maker Arthur W Simpson of Kendal.

Labelled  to the base and feintly stamped X108 which would date the piece to 1936.

Size: 21.5 (square at top), 17(square at base)cm
