A unique, bespoke commission for its original purchaser, as this item is not on Thompson’s price lists.

The shelf is in wonderful condition, adzed to the top to give it that distinctive honeycombed or rippled effect. It is supported by two wall fitting brackets , each bear large very finely carved mice. The original wooden bungs used to hide the wall fixing
screws are still present.

Size: 140 (w) x 12(d) x 17(h) cm

Please note that the shelf was originally fitted to a slightly bowed (convex) wall as Thompson’s craftsmen have adjusted the width of the shelf towards the centre to ensure a good fit. The rear of the shelf may therefore need some minor planeing
to fit flush against a purchasers wall.

onto the front facing edge of the top. Darker fumed from new it now presents with the most glorious chestnut tones and deep patination.
