Patrick Tite’s work is extremely rare to find on the market, this is the first piece we’ve seen for sale in 12 years. Patrick trained and worked at Robert Thompson’s from 1967-72, before leaving to work with Peter ‘Rabbitman’ Heap in Driffield where both craftsmen lived. He established his own business in Driffield in 1982. We don’t know when he stopped working, but he died in 2015, aged 63. Enclosed in the image gallery below is an image that accompanied an article about several of the Yorkshire craftsmen in the Dalesman magazine, published in July 1995. Patrick can be seen in his workshop working on a table and chair set in this exact design.
