A superb pair of solid oak Napkin Rings by the ex Mouseman craftsman Wilf ‘Squirrelman’ Hutchinson of Husthwaite, near Thirsk. Of typical octagonal form with large detaled carved squirrels to  one facet.

Excellent condition and color, no faults or losses, display use only historically.

Circa 1970s

An excellent example of a rare to market  pair of solid oak Napkin Rings by ex mouseman craftsman Colin ‘Beaverman Almack of Sutton-under-Whitestonecliffe, near Thirsk. Darker fumed from new they  present in excellent condition with a rich depth of colour, a signature Beaver carved in high relief to each.

Circa 1980s / 90s

A very rare and ususual large Yorkshire Citters Oak Ashtray, in excellent condition and beautifully carved with a signature neolithic / bronze age labyrinth in low relief, images of which an archaeologist client advises are  to be found in the North Yorkshire area.  Excellent condition, display use only, finished in a deeper fumed colour, leather lined base.

We have not seen  an example of this craftsman’s signature previously but our current belief is that it is most likely one of the former Acorn Industries (Alan ‘Acornman’ Grainger) craftsmen’s solo work. 

If anyone out there can confirm any further details we will gladly give the correct attribution.

An excellent  display use only example of a rare to market  solid oak Napkin Ring from the ex mouseman craftsman David ‘Oakleafman’ Langstaff. Of typical shaped octagonal form, carved with his distinctive oakleaf signature  to one facet.

Excellent condition  with no losses and a lovely medium fumed colour. David retired and closed his workshop a decade ago, although his Son now has his own Carthouse Furniture business.

A very rare and unusal pair of solid walnut Napkin Rings from the Acorn Industries workshop of  Alan ‘Acornman’ Grainger of Brandsby. Of triangular form with Alan’s trademark acorn signature.

Alan is one of the few Yorkshire Critters craftsmen to have produced ranges in Walnut and Mahogany, as well as Oak, for which they are most well known.

Excellent condition, display use only, no faults of losses and a rich darker fumed colour.
