An excellent 6′ solid oak refectory style Dining Table from the renowned early ex mouseman and ‘Yorkshire Critters’ craftsman Sid Pollard. Rectangular form, with thick shaped trestle legs, joined by a traditional arched pegged stretcher, the whole piece adzed.
Excellent overall condition, lighter medium fumed finish with a heat/ stain resistant finish and wax over for durability.
Sid Pollard’s work is unusual for an ex Mouseman and Yorkshire Critters craftsman as it is almost always unmarked, he preferred to let his craftsmanship speak for itself.

David trained under John Makepeace on leaving school and, naturally talented, he established Linley Furniture in 1985, producing the highest quality furniture and bespoke installations for the high end luxury market. The business continues to trade nationally and internationally today. Whilst his HQ is in London, what is less well known is that his production workshop is on the outskirts of Whitby, North Yorkshire, now operated and owned by his long time associate and friend Mark Asplin Whiteley. An excellent pair of solid oak Double Wall Lights by the ex Mouseman (1954-66) craftsman Albert Jeffray who retired in 2005. Brass earthed bulb holders and modern 3 core earthed wiring. Each incised with his signature eagle carving and with wall fixing bracket to the rear.
Excellent condition and colour, re-waxed in our workshop.
