Circa 1980s/90s

An excellent solid oak spinning chair by ex mouseman craftsman Bob ‘Wrenman’ Hunter of Thirlby, near Thirsk. Features a looped handle top with intricately hand carved back splat, carved in relief with an oak tree with leaves, acorns and a signature wren carved sitting on one of the branches. The back pinned and pegged in traditional fashion onto the shaped seat which is supported on four octagonally carved and tapered legs, joined by cross stretchers.

Excellent condition and colour.
