Circa late 1980s
A superb matched pair of bedside or side cabinets by ex Mouseman craftsman ‘Oakleafman’ David Langstaff. Solid oak panelling throughout with typical adzing to the top and door panels. David’s trademark oakleaf is carved into the
tops of each cabinet. Made as a matched pair, one door is hinged to the left the other to the right. The cabinet interiors are in pristine condition and feature 3 removeable and fully height adjustable oak shelves. Finished in a wonderful waxed golden
honey colour. The only evidence of usage by the original Easingwold owners is some minor drip staining to the rear panels on one of the cabinets which is shown in the image gallery below.
David worked at Robert Thompson’s from 1965 before setting up Oak Leaf Furniture in 1986 in Easingwold.
Size: 45.5(w) x 29.5(d) x 69(h) cm each.
With prices for bedside cabinets from David and similar Yorkshire craftsmen now £ 850 – £ 900 each and the Mouseman cabinet currently £ 1,855 these are very attractively priced at:
