Stock ref: DS1320
Circa late 1960s
A Derek Slater earlier ‘Fishman’ period dining set presented in excellent original condition. The 6′ long refectory style table features an adzed top which is free from any stains and stands on typical octagonally carved baluster legs and feets, joined by a stretcher. A trademark fish is carved to the foot. The 2 carvers and 4 standard dining chairs also present in excellent condition. The drop in seat pads retain their original leather which is exceptionally clean and undamaged. Each chair is carved with Derek’s trademark fish which he used before later working with Martin Dutton (ex Mouseman) and adopting a Lizard carving which Martin also used.
Currently in my Northallerton storage unit, where it can be viewed by appointmant, but will be taken over to my Preston showroom in early May for general viewing at any time.
