Circa late 1920s
An excellent quality solid oak ‘Coxwell Range’ chair by Gordon Russell from his earlier 1920s period when his designs were heavily influenced by the surrounding arts and crafts movement in the Cotswolds. Of course , in his later career he became one of the leading furniture designers and manufacturers of the 20th Century.
Excellent solid frames with no loose joints, sympathetically re-waxed in our workshop. Retains its original tapestry drop-in seat, a little worn to the upper tapestry as expected for its age, although the under covering remains fully intact.
Size: 40(w) x 39(d) x 80(h). Seat height incl. cushion 45cm.
