Robert Thompson ‘Mouseman’ Oak Glazed Corner Display Cabinet

A superb example of an earlier adzed all over, including the panels,  Robert Mouseman Thompson oak glazed corner  display cabinet. Featuring a glazed and leaded upper display cabinet with castellated penny moulded top section, single lockable door with key,  5 inner glass shelves ( 2 more than usually supplied) and a later fitted interior light. Below is a single doored cupboard with fixed inner shelf. Traditional  arts and crafts style wrought iron fittings. Signature mouse carved in high relief to the upper edge of the cupboard section.

Superb condition free from staining  and  a rich deep honey colour. Known to have been in the previous ownership of  former mouseman craftsman Paul Golding's family. Paul  began his career at Robert Thompson's before WWII  and he returned there after active service with the RAF. He was master carver from 1947 to his retirement in 1987. He died in 2004.
