Robert Thompson ‘Mouseman’ Rare Early Oak Cheval Mirror

Circa 1940s

A rare early commissioned oak cheval mirror  by Robert 'Mouseman Thompson with tapering cruciform shaped supports topped with ring dishes, joined by a lattice interwoven panel with a full length tilting glass panel backed mirror with penny moulded top section. Adzed to all visible surfaces in line with early craftsmanship with a signature mopuse carved to  the front of one of the side supports. Superb condition  with no damage or repairs and a rich deep honey colour.

Know to have been commissioned for a textile mill owner from the West Riding, Yorkshire.
