1987/88
A pristine example of an oak dished top stool made by ex mouseman craftsman Malcolm ‘Foxman’ Pipes. Traditional curved and subtly adzed top with exposed pins formed by steaming and bending into shape. Four square ladzed legs with octagonal carved detailing joined by stretchers. Malcolm’s trademark foxes face incised to one leg.
This is just one piece from a large collection of Foxman pieces acquired privately directly from the estate of a lady who corresponded regularly with Malcolm and his mother up to the time of her recent death. All the pieces from this estate have been cherished from new and are in pristine condition.
