Circa 1950s

An excellent earlier adzed English oak Firescreen from the workshops of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson. With a carrying handle and octagonal finials, the adzed frame inset with a glazed wool tapestry depicting various flowers and leaves in a William Morris Arts & Crafts style. Solid oak panel back, secured with oak beading, standing on sledge feet.

Wonderful condition, rich medium fumed colour.
