A superb example of a Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Burr Oak Calf Stool. Unlike the standard model these are either made to specific order or in very limited numbers when a particularly good piece of burr oak is available at Robert Thompson’s to use. Of typical kidney shaped form with a subtly dished and adzed seat, supported on splayed tapering octagonally carved legs, visibly wedge jointed through the seat. A signature mouse is carved to the front edge of the seat.

Privately sourced from a Mouseman collector, excellent condition and colour, all the leg joints are tight.
