An excellent solid oak Side Table & Seat from the ex Mouseman craftsman Fred Suffield. Fred is the original ‘Oakleafman’, this signature was later revived again in 1986 by David Langstaff. In later life Fred also worked with Sid Pollard.  In wonderful condition, made for family friends and bought by us privately from them with Fred’s beautifully carved oakleaf in high relief to the seat end. Original thick aniline cow hide seat with wonderful colour and patina, with just a few expected marks which are always seen on these earlier untreated hides. The medium fumed oak framework is solid and has been sympathetically re-waxed, the hide cleaned and conditioned.
