A rare bespoke commissioned Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson solid oak cigar ashtray, one of only four known to exist. Made to the same design as the traditional cigarette ashtray / pin dish but to a considerably larger overall size. It is shown for comparison purposes next to a normal sized Mouseman ashtray which is for sale separately.
Presents in excellent condition and colour, cleaned and re-waxed with minimal evidence of usage as originally intended. Made from a section of quarter sawn oak which is the only oak wood cut that shows the distinctive lighter medullary ray patterns in the graining.
