Circa 1950s / early 60s

An excellent example of the earlier made 12″ tall Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson solid English Oak Table Lamp, of typical form with the octagonally carved and tapered central stem leading down to a square base with leaf forms carved to the four corners.  A large excellently carved mouse is prominently placed to the centre of the stem. Darked fumed from new it presents with a rich warm brown colour tone and no faults or losses. Rewired with new period  3 core earthed braided wiring, new antiqued brass bayonet bulb holder and 3 amp fused plug.
