New in  and market fresh from a private family collection,  photographed as purchased and unloaded from our van.

A superb example of an early  burr oak octagonal Occasional / Coffee Table by Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson.  Full heavily burred and adzed octagonal top, supported on an adzed cruciform pedetal leg with crossed feet, a signature mouse carved to the leading edge of  the pedestal leg.

Used and wonderfully looked after all its life, originally purchased by the  former owners grandparents who lived close to Kilburn and knew Robert personally. It requires nothing more than a very gentle and sympathetic clean and re-wax to the top and pedestal leg.One of  a number of other early and later pieces privately purchased directly from the original owning family.
