An excellent example of the highly popular 5′ solid English Oak Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Sideboard. Of rectangular form with an  hand adzed top with rear upstand with panelled sides and rear. The front features a bank of 3 graduated central drawers, the top one baize lined and compartmentalized for cutlery, flanked each side by panelled cupboards with inner fixed shelving. Wrought iron door fittings and wooden drawr knobs.  A signature mouse is carved prominently to the front left canted corner. The sideboard stands on four octagonally carved legs.

Cleaned and re-waxed in our workshop, the top stripped and re-sealed with polyurethane, as originally finished at R. Thompson’s, to enhance the heat and stain resistance. It presents with no stains and a lovely warm mellow medium fumed and waxed finish, the drawers and cupboards lovely and clean.

It is also complete with  the original order and invoice details.
