Circa 1960

A superb example of the earlier made 6′ Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson Dining Table  handcrafted from the finest solid English Oak. The three plank quater sawn oak top displaying the distinctive fox tongue dowelled jointing that was used until 1971 and wonderful medullary ray graining.  The top supported on two octagonally carved baluster legs joined by a lower stretcher, an excellent signature mouse carved to one baluster leg.

Cleaned and refinished in our workshop, the top with a modern stain /water resistant  wax/oil finish, ideal for those with children…. or like me, are prone to spilling the odd drop of wine !
