An excellent bespoke commissioned solid oak chest of drawers with 2 short over 5 long drawers. Of larger size than Robert Thompson’s stock items, 4′ wide x 4’6″ tall. Of typical form and construction with adzed top and rear upstand, pegged and panelled all around witha lovely signature mouse to a front canted corner edge. The drawer fronts are made with quarter sawn oak to highlight the meduallry ray graining in the oak wood.

Photographed in our showroom, in original ‘as purchased’ condition which shows it has been extremely well looked after with no significant staining, scratches of losses. The drawer interiors are in exceptional ‘as new’ condition. Nevertheless we will ensure it receives a gentle clean and a fresh coat of wax before delivery to its new owners. Medium fumed, clear waxed from new.

The nearest comparable sized stock piece at Robert Thompsons is a 3′ x 4′ with 7 drawers which retails at £ 8,400 new. The approximate cost to make this bespoke piece today would be £ 9500 – £ 10,000.
