Stock ref: DS1817
Circa 1930s/40s
A beautifully coloured and patinated early 12″ oak Table Lamp from the Kilburn workshops of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson. Hand tooled all over with the typical leaf forms carved to the corners of the base, triangulation to the top, and a large finely detailed mouse carved in high relief to one facet of the tapering octagonally carved central column. Darker fumed from new it presents with a natural very rich dark plummy brown colour. A former owner looks to have carved the initials FSR to one side of the base area and there are a couple of old small corner chips to the base, which we’ve taken account of in our very competitive pricing for the piece.
We can rewire the lamp for clients if they wish.
