Circa 1930s / 1940s
An excellent example of the early made 12″ solid oak Table Lamp from the workshops of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson, standing on a square base with carved leaf forms to the corners rising on a tapering octagonally tooled and carved central column with trinagular decoaration to the top. A wonderfully executed mouse is carved prominently to one facet. Beautiful darker fumed and aged colour with some natural burrs visible in the oak, excellent condition with just the tiniest of loss to one ear on the mouse carving. In full working order, rewired with new period 3 core braided wire and new antiqued brass BC switchable bulb holder.
