Stock ref: DS1926
Circa 1930s/40s
A good example of an early large oak Cow Stool from the workshop of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson with a large kidney/pallete shaped single plank top, adzed to the upper surface and underside. The tooled octagonal tapering legs are characteristically wedge jointed through seat. A characteristically early mouse is carved to one of the front legs. Solid leg joints but the top would benefit from a clean and rewax to remove the staining marks. We’ll be pleased to undertake this for clients if they wish, pricing accordingly.
Size: 50(w) x 48(d) x 44.5(h), seat 40(w) x 35(d).
