Stock ref: DS1796
Circa 1940s
A lovely example of an early made oak Ashtray from the workshops of Robert ‘Mouseman’ Thompson of Kilburn, Near Thirsk with the characteristic larger bowl, smaller canted corners and narrow cut-outs. Wondeful depth of colour and a particularly large, well fed and rounded mouse carved to the piece. Minimal evidence of usage as an ashtray, just slight nibbles to the mouse.
